Reconnect Through Renewals

When it comes time for your clients to renew a long-term GeoBlue policy, such as a Navigator or Xplorer plan, there are a number of things for them to consider. This provides a perfect opportunity for you to demonstrate your value. As you prepare to walk them through their decision, it’s important to understand all you can about our process, and the tools at your disposal.

Notifying Your Clients That It’s Time To Renew

Expiration Notice At GeoBlue, we provide ample notice whenever the life of a policy is expiring.

Our members receive two communications via email and mail at 30 and 60 days prior to policy expiration. Our Retention Team will also personally reach out to your clients at 30 and 10 days prior to coverage expiration. After the policy has expired, we will send a letter to the member, and our Retention Team will also personally reach out informing them that their plan has ended. However, your clients are given a 30-day grace period to renew after the expiration date has passed.

Unless the member has elected to withhold information from his or her broker, you will be included on every renewal notification.

The Renewal Process

Our goal is to make the renewal process as quick and easy for your clients as possible. If a member wants to renew his or her plan with either no changes to the policy, a decrease in coverage, or an increase in the deductible, there is no need for an underwriting process. However, if the member would like to add coverage or lower the deductible, the policy will undergo a brief underwriting process.

Learn more about our underwriting process on the first page of a long-term policy application.

Stay Involved During the Renewal Process

When it comes to building a good relationship with your clients, every potential touchpoint is a good one. Whenever you see a renewal letter go to a client, give them a call. It’s an opportunity for you to reconnect and demonstrate your value.
