Our research shows that prior to the pandemic, 43% of travelers did not make sure that they had the proper medical coverage for traveling abroad. And 16% of those assumed that their domestic medical plan would cover them. What's more, 65% are now more concerned about getting sick while traveling abroad.¹ This signals an opportunity to educate consumers on how to properly prepare for international travel.
